The study identifies protein quantitative-trait loci in Generation Scotland and uses causal inference to connect circulating proteins with common causes of morbidity and mortality. Serum samples were measured at Eliptica using its high-throughput mass spectrometry proteomics platform, supporting population-scale studies of circulating proteins and disease biology.
